Six killed in AP mishap

Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, May 15 : Six people were killed and 20 injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling was hit by a lorry here today.

Police said a team of folk artistes were returning from Kunamnenivaripalem in Cheemakurthi Mandal to Kandukuru after performing at a function last night.

The accident occured when a lorry hit their vehicle from the rear when it halted at the South Bypass Centre.

The injured were shifted to a local government hospital, police added.
