Sachin arrives in Chennai to practice at MRF Pace Foundation

Chennai, May 15 (UNI) Recovering from a shoulder operation, Sachin Tendulkar arrived here from Mumbai this morning for a six-day practice stint at the MRF Pace Foundation.

According to T A Sekhar, chief coach of the Foundation, Sachin's training schedule was being worked out.

''I have come here to practise at the Foundation and my injury is fine. It's shaping up well,'' Sachin told reporters.

He was also hopeful that Team India would continue to do well in the Caribbeans.

''I think it's going to be a good series. The team is in good form and hope they would continue to perform the way they have been doing in recent past,'' he said.

Sachin was sent to the Foundation by the BCCI to regain his fitness for the away Test series against the West Indies.

Having missed the five-match ODI series with the West Indies, Sachin is now fighting to regain fitness for the four-Test series in the Caribbeans.

Indian team physio John Gloster has worked out the schedule for Sachin at the Pace Foundation where the ace batsman will practise to get his rhythm back by playing on different types of wickets against the trainee fast bowlers.
