Randhawa finishes tied 54th, Shiv 70th at British masters
Birmingham, May 15: Jyoti Randhawa returned his worst card of the week to finish tied 54th while his younger compatriot Shiv Kapur ended at the bottom of the leaderboard in the British Masters here.
Randhawa had picked up a shot before approaching the eighth but he dropped three shots in the par-four, 457-yard hole and worse followed in the form of a double bogey in the ninth, again a par-four hole.
He had two bogeys and as many birdies on his way back for a round of 76 and Randhawa finished a poor 54th at two-over 290.
Shiv Kapur had similar woes in his eventful final round as he stuttered to a three-over 75 to total a horrendous 11-over 299 anf finish at 70.
Barring the birdies on the fifth and 13th, Shiv had nothing to show in a horrible round which saw him dropping four shots over three hole on either side of the nine.
Shiv mixed two birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey -- on the par-four 10th -- in his round of 75.
On a day of errors, Swede Johan Edfors came from behind to claim his second European Tour with a closing two-under 70 for an 11-under 277 total that saw him pipping compatriot Jarmo Sandelin and Britons Gary Emerson and Stephen Gallacher to the post by one stroke.
