Police questions Shayan Munshi in Jessica murder case for 7 hrs
New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) Actor Shayan Munshi, prime witness in the Jessica Lall murder case was today questioned by the Delhi Police for more than seven hours, knew that a 'lookout notice' was pending against him, according to officials.
Munshi, who was questioned at the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) office by sleuths of the Special Investigation Team (SIT), formed to look into the alleged lapses during investigations which led to the acquittal of all the nine accused in the case, did not say anything about his not being aware of the 'lookout notice', according to an official of the SIT.
Before being questioned by the SIT team, Munshi told reporters that he was not aware that any 'lookout notice' had been issued against him.
''He did not say anything of that sort to us. He should have known this, when others involved in the matter like Bina Ramani are moving the court for permission to go abroad,'' said the official.
It is not our business to inform him, he added.
Munshi arrived for interrogation at 1210 hrs and left the EOW premises at 1930 hrs. The police team did not allow him to talk to the media.
He also said he had not been informed by the Delhi Police about any such notice.
The actor, who had turned hostile during trial into the case, was brought to Delhi last night following a summons issued by the Delhi police for him to join investigations.
Munshi was detained at the Kolkata Airport on Saturday last while he was to board a flight for Hong Kong.
The SIT had issued lookout notices against several persons, soon after the case fell in the lower court here early this year, which included socialite Bina Ramani, her daughter Malini and Shayan Munshi.
