One killed, one injured in road mishap in Pondy

Pondicherry, May 15 (UNI) One person was killed and another injured in a road accident at Patthukkannu near here today.

According to police, the driver of a lorry on its way here lost control and hit a cyclist killing him on the spot. The lorry then dashed against a motorcycle and hit a lamp post and came to a hault.

The motorcyclist who was seriously injured was admitted to the government general hospital here.

The driver of the lorry escaped, police said.
