MPSEDCL head quits BJP to join Uma's outfit
Bhopal, May 15 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd (MPSEDCL) Chairman Arvind Srivastava today resigned from his post and from primary membership of the BJP while announcing that he would join former chief minister Uma Bharti's recently-constituted Bharatiya Janshakti (BJ).
''I have quit on moral grounds,'' he told mediapersons here.
Mr Srivastava, who was a BJP leader from the firebrand sadhvi's native district Tikamgarh, said the district's BJP Minorities' Morcha former general secretary Ramzan and ten BJP workers were also joining BJ ranks.
''I have dispatched my resignation, from MPSEDCL, to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the resignation, from the BJP, to the party office,'' said Mr Srivastava.
In the latter missive he alleged that the BJP was functioning in Congress style and thereby losing its reputation.
Mr Srivastava has served as the BJYM's Tikamgarh district chief, BJP district general secretary and the vice-chairman, Special Area Development Authority, Orchha. During Ms Bharti's chief ministership, he was appointed MPSEDCL chief while being elevated to cabinet rank.
