More explosives seized in Nashik district

Nashik, May 14 (UNI) In a joint operation, the Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Nashik police late today seized a huge cache of explosives from an electrical shop located at Azad Nagar in Malegaon near here.

Police sources said five AK 47 rifles, 20 magazines, 1000 live cartridges and thirteen kilograms of RDX was seized from the shop.

Yesterday too, police had seized an AK-47 rifle, 200 live cartridges and 50 hand grenades from near the historic Ankai Fort in Manmad taluka of this district.

The seizure of the arms and explosives over the past two days has created panic among the people here.
