Mob lynchs driver after three youths died under wheels

Ranchi, May 15 (UNI) Angry over reckless driving in which a truck killed three youths and critically injured another, irate mob lynched the driver and torched the vehicle at a place near Hakagunj village,about 80 km from here yesterday, police said today.

The villagers dragged the driver out of truck and beat him to death and later troched the truck after three youths were mowed down by the speeding truck. The violent mob also damaged some other vehicles on the Karra-Kunti road blocked the highway demanding compensation to the family of the deceased.

The blockade was withdrawn after about three hours when the local administration announced a compensation of Rs. 3000 each to the victim families.
