Meeting of newly elected Cong MLAs on May 19

Chennai, May 15 (UNI) Newly elected Congress MLAs would meet here on May 19 to elect the leader of the legislature party.

TNCC President M Krishnasamy has convened the meeting at 0700 hrs at party headquarters Sathyamurthy Bhavan.

Senior Congress leader Veerappa Moily, incharge of party affairs in Tamil Nadu, would chair the meeting, Mr Krishnasamy said in a press release here.

The Congress, a key ally of the DMK-led Democratic Progressive Alliance (DPA) had contested 48 seats in the May eight assembly elections and had won 34 seats.
