Srinagar, May 15: Accusing the Centre of being inflexible, breakaway Hurriyat Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani has said the contentious Kashmir issue cannot be resolved by round-table conferences, but only through a ''plebiscite''.

Till the Centre did does not ''understand the ground reality, such initiatives are useless,'' Mr Geelani said in a statement here.

He said the Centre was not showing any flexibility vis-a-vis resolving the Kashmir issue.

''Killings and other atrocities continue unabated in Kashmir,'' the hardliner said.
