First ever children's film festival begins
Aizawl, May 15: For the first time in Mizoram, a children's film festival, sponsored jointly by the state government and Children's Film Society of India (CFSI) with fundings from the North East Council (NEC), began here today.
The five-day festival would see more than 10,000 children from 160 schools, both government and private, across the state participating in various programmes organised by CFSI at Vanapa Hall and I&PR auditorium.
During the festival, a workshop and training prgramme on 'Children's film-making and Appreciation workshop' will also be organised.
Film production experts from the CFSI will give the children a two-day training on film making.
A 'Junior Talent Contest 2006' programme, which aims at developing the talents of children would also be organised during the festival.
