Farmers lauds Karunanidhi's decision

Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu May 15 (UNI) Farmers of the Cauvery Delta area in Thanjavur district have lauded the decision of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to waive cooperative farm loans.

The waiving of loans would help the farmers as they suffered from huge loss due to various problems for a considerable period, farmers said.

People here have appreciated the steps taken by Mr Karunanidhi to keep up his election promise of providing Rs two per kg rice and egg to children in noon-meal centres.
