BKU demands immediate release of paddy arrears

Moga, May 15 (UNI) Bharti Kisan Union (Lakhowal) has demanded immediate implementation of the poll promises made by the Congress Party during last Assembly elections in Punjab.

BKU (Lakhowal) acting president Prof Manjit Singh Kadian here today asked the Amarinder Singh government to immediately release arrears of paddy bonus amounting to Rs 200 crore and return back, Rs 2200 crore which the electicity board had recovered from the dalits and farmers at the rate of Rs 650 crore per year.

Mr Kadian appealed to the Chief Minister for his personal intervention in solving the problems of farmers and dalits.
