Biennial elections to K'taka Council rescheduled
Bangalore, May 15 (UNI) The Biennial elections to six constituencies of the Karnataka Legislative Council has been postponed by ten days to June 17.
Releasing the rescheduled calender of events, State Assistant Chief Electoral Officer P T Kulkarni said the notification for the polls would be issued on May 24. The last date for filing of nominations would be May 31 and scrutiny would be taken up the following day. June three would be the last date for withdrawal of nominations.
Counting of votes would be taken up on June 19.
The elections were being held to fill up one seat each in six teachers and graduates constituencies.
