Bank dacoity bid foiled

Bhagalpur, May 15 (UNI) Four criminals were today arrested on charges of conspiring to loot a nationalised bank near Zila school under Kotwali police station here.

Police superintendent G S Gangwar said that on a tip off police raided the premises of Zila school and arrested the ciminals before committing the crime.

When the police swooped on them, they fired following which cops also retaliated. One criminal sustained bullet injuries and was admitted to a local hospital.

Interrogation was on extract information from the anti-socials about their criminal activities, he added.
