Babulal to fast to draw attention to insurgency problem
Ranchi, May 15 (UNI) BJP's national vice-president and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi will go on 24-hour fast on May 17 at Setwand in Giridih district to draw the Centre and the state government's attention to the insurgency problem in the state.
Addressing a press conference here today, Mr Marandi said a major portion of his parliamentary constituency Kodarma is naxalite dominated and attributed it to under development of the area.
He said many blocks of Giridih district shares 70 kms of stretch with Bihar which have been marked as 'poor and backward.' ''I have chosen a backward place to highlight my agenda,'' Mr Marandi said.
