AGP begins introspection

Guwahati, May 15 (UNI): The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) today began its introspection of poll debacle as the steering committee today sat at the party headquarters.

The meeting was attended by almost all the important leaders of the party and presided over by party President Brindabon Goswami.

The AGP got 24 seats in the election, much below the expectation.Earlier AGP President Goswami sought to resign taking moral responsibility but was refrained by others saying it was their collective responsibility.

The meeting is crucial, as it will chart the future course of action of the party.

The party is now with left democratic forces but murmur is on for reunion of both factions of the AGP.
