75-year-old strangled by servant

New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) A 75-year-old was allegedly murdered by her servant in Vivek Vihar area of East Delhi.

Kasturi Devi, who lived with her four sons and servant Amiruddin (25), on Circular Road in Vivek Vihar was found strangled by her son Subhash in the early morning today, according to sources.

Soon after Subhash informed the police, following which Amiruddin was arrested later in the day.

The accused, who hailed from West Bengal and had been with the family for the last four years, had strangled the lady and fled after taking Rs 1,500 from the house last night.

The family dealt in the supply of building materials.
