RGU to start MBA course with CII

Itanagar, May 14 (UNI) The Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) has decided to introduce Master in Business Administration (MBA) course from 2006-07 academic year in partnership with Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), New Delhi.

CII Deputy Director General S Sen and Anderson Biotechnic managing director Krist KG, who represent CII in North Eastern Council (NEC), had arrived here yesterday for a two-day discussion with the RGU authorities to finalise the partnership and sign the memorandum of understanding, informed university Vice-Chancellor Prof Atul Sharma.

With Arunachal Pradesh waiting in the wings to benefit from the Centre's 'Look East' policy, the course would go a long way in meeting the managerial manpower requirements of the North Eastern region, the VC commented.

The course would be tuned to the needs of the corporate world as CII would facilitate resource persons, provide internship and run an enterpreneurship programme for the students besides offering placement service, Prof Sharma informed.

The CII team, which had a meeting with the Arunachal Chamber of Commerce and Industries last evening, is scheduled to meet state Governor S K Singh and Industry Minister Tsering Gyurme this evening and state Chief Secretary Tabom Bam tomorrow.
