Policemen in lock-up in assault charge

Shillong, May 14 (UNI) Two policemen were arrested here after they assaulted three persons, including a woman.

The policemen assaulted Christabel Wanniang, the general secretary of the Civil Society of Women Organisation (CSWO), along with her husband and brother.

The duo, identified as Irenus Sawkmie and Tenning Star Khyriem, were reportedly in an inebriated state when the incident took place on Friday.
