Mother of one killed by ''lover''

New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) A 30-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her ''lover'' in Gautam Nagar area of South Delhi this afternoon.

The accused Rakesh Jha (23) later surrendered himself at Lajpat Nagar police station, according to the police.

However, he was handed over to the Defence Colony police as Gautam Nagar fell under its jurisdiction.

Jha told the police that he had a fight with Suman Rai, also a mother, with whom he was having an affair for quite some time. She was not coming to his place to meet him and in a fit of rage after the argument went overboard, he killed her.

He said he stabbed her a number of times to ensure that she died, the police added.

Suman, was a resident of Uttam Nagar.
