Jeev Mikha Singh finishes tied 5th in PGA Championship

Gifu, May 14 (UNI) Winner of last month's Volvo China Open, Jeev Milkha Singh notched yet another top five finish with an impressive final round of three-under 69 in the 110 million yen PGA Championship here today.

Jeev, after rounds of 71, 72, 68 and 69, totalled eight-under 280 to tie for the fifth spot, along with two others.

Jeev had a perfect, bogey-free outward journey as he fired birdies in the fifth, seventh and ninth and resumed his back nine on a positive note, slotting another on the 10th. Jeev dropped the lone bogey in 13th but sealed his round with a string of five par shots for a satisfying outing and finished two strokes behind eventual winner Tomohiro Kondo, who aggregated 278 and beat Katsuyoshi Tomori in play-off.
