HMT proposes to roll out 'HMT Trantor' soon

Mumbai, May 14: Haryana-based HMT proposes to roll out ''HMT Trantor'', a versatile high-speed tractor, from its stables soon.

The HMT Trantor is capable of attaining a maximum speed of 65 kmph on the roads, a release issued here said. The tractor is being manufactured in technical collaboration with Trantor Vehicles of UK, the release said.

The Trantor is a multi-purpose vehicle which, apart from finding use in sowing and harvesting, can also serve as a mobile showroom.

It can be used as a trolley to cart luggage or as a mode of mobile advertising hoarding and it is economically priced, the release said.

Randhawa Motors, based at Nerul in Navi Mumbai, has been appointed as first dealer for HMT Trantor, the release said, adding that HMT Trantor will be launched on May 15 at the hands of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil.
