Heat wave prevails in Rajasthan, Haryana and J
Pune, May 14: Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in northwest Rajasthan and in some parts of Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir.
Heat wave conditions also prevailed in some parts of Punjab, east Rajasthan and Vidarbha. Hot day conditions prevailed in some parts of east Madhya Pradesh.
Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Assam, Manipur, coastal Tamil Nadu, south Kerala and in some parts of Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka and in the remaining parts of Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and were above normal in south Madhya Maharashtra and in some parts of Konkan, Goa and of Marathwada.
They were appreciably to markedly below normal in West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar and east Uttar Pradesh and in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh.
They were normal over the rest of the country.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at a few places in West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
Mainly dry weather will prevail over south Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and coastal Karnataka.
Heavy rain have occurred at most places in Assam and Meghalaya.
Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Orissa, Jharkhand, coastal Andhra Pradesh and at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
