Four of a family drown in Ganga

Lucknow, May 14 (UNI) Four members of a family, including three children, drowned in Ganga river in Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh today.

Police said here, Usha Dubey had gone to the Ganga ghat for bathing along with her three children.

When the family was taking a bath, Deepak (10) got swept to the deeper part of the river. In a bid to save him, the rest of the family members entered the danger zone but drowned.

The deceased included Usha, her daughters Chandrakala (18), Vandana (12) and son Deepak.

Efforts were on to recover the bodies from the river.
