Clashes between Brazil police, gang kill 52

SAO PAULO, Brazil, May 14 : A total of 52 police, civilians and gangsters have been killed in two nights of coordinated attacks by a criminal gang in Brazil's Sao Paulo state, security officials today said.

A further 53 people have been wounded in the worst wave of crime-related violence in Brazil's wealthiest state in recent memory.
