Bomb making materials recovered from jail

Jehanabad, May 14 (UNI) In a surprise raid conducted in the Jehanabad jail, a large quantity of bomb-making materials were recovered from an abandoned ward.

District Magistrate Rana Awadhesh, who led the raiding team, said here last night that an inquiry had been ordered to identify the group involved. The seized materials, which included 50 metres of wire, potash, other types of incendiary dust and cane, are being sent for forensic examination.

Meanwhile, seven hardcore Maoists were brought from Beur jail to face trial in a local Fast Track Court. Those transferred to Jehanabad jail included, Devendra alias Sippu, Shambhu Singh Yadav, Munna Kumar, Sanjay Tiwari, Salendra Yadav and Vijay Yadav.

According to the district magistrate, security has been tightened in and around the jail and extra vigil was being kept on the Maoist prisoners lodged in the jail following recovery of explosive materials and arrival of some dreaded Maoists in the jail.
