BJP to raise Doda killings in Parliament: Advani
Jammu, May 14 : Former Deputy Prime Minister and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha L K Advani today said the BJP will raise the issues of Doda and Udhampur massacres and militant attack on party workers at Doda in Parliament.
Addressing mediapersons here at the airport, the senior BJP leader said the party would take up these issues in the Lok Sabha as well as the Rajya Sabha. These three incidents are not common terrorist acts but a conspiracy to cause an exodus of Hindus from Doda just as Kashmiri Pandits had been forced to leave the Kashmir valley, he added.
Mr Advani said these incidents cannot be compared with the terrorist acts in Delhi, Banglore or Varanasi. ''I would regard it as a sinister design against Hindus to force them to leave their homes in Jammu region,'' he added.
The worsening security situation in Jammu region is a cause for deep concern. The security arrangement in Doda must be reviewed and the entire district be declared a 'disturbed area.' Mr Advani also visited the Government Medical College Hospital here with former Union Minister Chaman Lal Gupta to meet the injured persons and asked doctors to provide the best medical facilities to them.
