Annual Hindi Poet's Meet To Be Held: Bhattaraka Swamiji

Shravanabelagola, Karnataka, May 14 (UNI) The Digambar Jain Mutt here will hold national level Hindi poets' meet every year from 2007 and present annual awards for budding young Hindi poets to nurture talent.

Disclosing this at the 'Kavyangali Abhisheka Samarambha', a national level Hindi poets' meet celeberating the life and magnificance of Bhagawan Bahubali here yesterday as part of Mamahamastakabhisheka celeberations, Jagadguru Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji said the talent that has come forth at the meet has encouraged him to organise similar meets every year henceforth.

It would provide an occasion for the peotic talent from across the country to converge and celebrate each other's talent.

Turning his attention to the presence of a fair crop of poets' of the younger generation at the meet, the Swami said the mutt would beginning 2007 give away annual awards in recognition of the talent among the younger generation.

Earlier he inaugurated the meet and released 'Kavyanjali', a collection of poems in Hindi, featuring 13 poets, all celebrating the life and ideals of Bhagawan Bahubali. All the thirteen poets including Mr Narendra Prasad Jain (Ferozabad), who presided, Mr Neeraj Jain Sathna, who spoke on 'Kavyanjali', Mr Kailash Mudabay (Bhopal), who compered, and Padmashri Dr Sunitha Jain, recited their poems on the occasion.
