Allahabad Bank records over 30 per cent growth in net profit

Kolkata, May 14 (UNI) Public sector Allahabad Bank which has targetted to increase its overall business to Rs 100,000 crores by March next, has recorded an unprecedented 30.33 per cent growth in net profit margin to Rs 706.13 crores during the last fiscal, up from Rs 541.80 crores in 2004-05.

Briefing mediapersons about the financial performance of the bank after an extended Board of Directors meeting here today Allahabad Bank Chairman and Managing Director Onkar Nath Singh said recording all round performance the total business of the bank had reached Rs 78,561 crores from Rs 62,914 crores in the previous year.

The operating profit of the bank during the last fiscal also recorded a robust growth of around ten per cent to Rs 1024.15 crores from Rs 933.79 crores.
