Two persons killled in car mishap

Mysore, May 13 (UNI) In a bizarre accident, a 20-year old youth and eight year old girl were drowned at Dalavya tank on the outskirts of the city here last night.

The mishap occurred when the car in which they were travelling fell into a road side tank. Four occupants of the car escaped with minor injuries.

According to injured persons, the car driver was trying to avoid a collision with another car coming on the opposite direction. The car driver is absconding. Injured persons were treated at a private hospital here.

Police said today that the deceased had been identified as Mallesh and Jyothi. They had come to the city to attend a marriage of their relative, police added.
