Two poison-peddlers held on board train
Varanasi, May 12 (UNI) Police have arrested two Zeher Khurans (poison peddlers) on board Puri bound New Delhi-Puri Neelanchal Express at Mughalsarai railway station of neighbouring Chandaulli district today.
GRP sources said here Rafiq Alam and Mohd Ansar, both members of the poison peddlers gang were held from the train. One of their associates, however, managed to escape.
The arrested duo hailing from West Bengal admitted robbing rail passengers aboard trains passing through the eastern state, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile, an aged man was allegedly robbed by another gang on board Mumbai-Varanasi Mahanagari Express.
GRP said Laxmi Narayan Chaubey (60) was found unconscious aboard the AC coach of the train at Varanasi railway station. His cellular phone, wallet and gold chain were missing.
