Twenty years RI in narcotics case

New Delhi, May 12 (UNI) A local court sentenced a man to 20 years rigorous imprisonment today in a narcotic drugs case.

Additional Sessions Judge N K Gupta also imposed a fine of Rs two lakh on Furkan Ali, a resident of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

Ali was caught with 4 kg charas near Kudasia Park under Civil Lines police station here on January 7, 2004.

The prosecution said he had brought the charas -- concealed in 4 white polythene bags -- from Manali in Himachal Pradesh.
