Time for replacement for current shortest man, as new arrives

Kathmandu, May 12 (UNI) The world will soon witness the presence of the new shortest man on the planet, on the verge of replacing the older one in the Guiness book of World Records.

Fourteen-year-old Khagendra Thapa Magar, who weighs a mere 4.5 kg and is 20 inches tall may soon be registered in the Guinness Book of World Records as the shortest man ever, media reports said here today.

Master Magar, who hails from a remote village of Dhullubashkot-6, Baglung, will replace the current shortest man registered in the records - New Delhi's Mr Mohammed Ali, The Himalayan Times quoted Min Bahadur Rana, chairman of the Khagendra Thapa Magar Academy (KTMA) as saying.

''We are working on getting Magar's name registered in the Guinness Book of World Records. The government should have shown some concern over getting Magar registered in the records,'' he said.
