Thundershowers likely to occur in North, NE

Pune, May 12 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Andman and Nicobar Islands.

The rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at few places in West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

They will also occur at isolated places in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

Dry weather will prevail over south Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkna, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and coastal and north interior Karnataka.

Heat wave conditions prevailed in north west Rajasthan, south coastal Andhra Pradesh and in some parts of Haryana, Vidarbha and parts of north Tamil Nadu. Hot day condition also prevailed in some parts of east Madhya Pradesh.

Day temperatures were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, and in some parts of south Madhya Maharashtra. They were appreciably above normal in some parts of Saurashtra and Kutch, Marathwada, south Tamil Nadu and in remaining parts of Rajasthan.

The temeratures were also above normal in some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and south and interior Karnataka and Kerala and in the remaining parts of Tamil Nadu.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh and in some parts of Orissa, Punjab.

The temperatures were below normal in some parts of Uttaranchal and in remaining parts of Haryana, while they were normal over the rest of the country.

Very heavy rains had occurred at most places in Nagaland, Manipur Mizoram and Tripura. Heavy rains had also occurred at a few places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Very light rains had occurred at isolated places in Orissa, west Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers had occurred at many places in Assam and Meghalaya, Uttaranchal and Andman and Nicobar Islands. They also occurred at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, south interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh and Kerala.
