TechSpan to invest $20 mln to develop offshore infrastructure

New Delhi, May 12 (UNI) TechSpan India, a global consultancy company and a subsidary of Headstrong Services, today announced its plans to invest over 20 million dollars for setting up its new facilities in Noida and Bangalore this year.

''The new facilities in Noida and Bangalore are designed to meet the needs of today's IT professionals as well as our customer's enhanced data security and risk management needs,'' TechSpan India Managing Director Harsh Singh Lohit said.

The company which taregets a growth rate of 40 per cent this year will also expand its India team from a current base of 1,000 employees to over 1,500 by the year-end.

The new centre in Noida will add 1,500 seats to take the capacity of its Noida centers to 2,000 seats, while the Bangalore operations will have a capacity of 750 over seats.

The company also recorded a robust growth rate of 46 per cent in its revenues for the first quarter, ending 31 March, 2006, as against the corresponding period last year.

''Our Global Delivery Centers in India and Phillippines, grew rapidly in 2005 and almost doubled their headcount and revenues,'' HeadStrong Chairman and CEO Arjun Malhotra said.
