Private members' bill on unsolicited calls
New Delhi, May 12 (UNI) Mr B J Panda of the Biju Janata Dal today moved a Private Member's Bill in the Rajya Sabha seeking a ban on unsolicited telephone calls for business promotion that intrude the privacy of individuals.
The other Private Members' Bills which were introduced in the house included the Prevention of Heinous Crime and Barbarous Cruelty against Women Bill, and Unorganised Labour Bill were moved by senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj.
BJP leader Kalraj Mishra moved a Bill seeking issuance of multi-purpose smart cards to every citizen in the country.
Another Private Member's Bill moved in the House pertained to the welfare and rehabilitation of working children.
