Nine injured in rock blast

Hyderabad, May 12 (UNI) About nine persons were injured and more than 20 houses were damanged when pieces of rocks that were being blasted at a construct site fell on them near Matajinagar in Begumpet area, in the city, today.

Police said workers at a house construction site kept detonators and were blasting rocks in Matajinagar. Suddenly pieces of rocks fell to a larger distance and fell on the passers-by and on the house roofs in the nearby colony. As a result there was commotion all over the place.

A case has been registered and an investigation, was underway, police added.
