J&K govt to privatise schools
Srinagar, May 12: The Jammu and Kashmir government has directed all recognised private schools to notify the fee structure for information of the general public, according to an official notification.
The Director of School Education has asked all the private schools that all aspects should be notified properly while giving details of the fee structure.
There should be no mid-term revision of any component of the fee, the notification said, adding the schools must issue proper receipt for any item such as uniform, stationary or text books provided to the students against cash payments.
Teaching and other staff of the schools should be paid salaries through cheques. The schools should arrange for the in-service training of teachers and refresher courses, the notification said.
