New Delhi, May 12 (UNI) The Interpol today issued a Red Corner Notice against Ravi Shankaran, kin of Navy Chief Admiral Arun Prakash and a key accused in the Navy War Room leak case.

Earlier, the CBI had got an arrest warrant issued against 41-year-old Shankaran, presently in London, besides asking the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to revoke his passport.

The agency is seeking the deportation of Lucknow-born Shankaran to question him in connection with the Navy War Room leak case.

Ravishankaran had failed to present himself for questioning, despite repeated summons by the CBI, hence the Interpol notice, said the CBI spokesman here.

Shankaran's office "Shanks Oceanographic Private Limited" in Mumbai and the office of Jeniffer Mirza, who was allegedly heading his front organisation in Goa, was reportedly a hub for the clandestine operations.

After the Defence Ministry handed over the probe to it, the CBI had registered a case against nine persons under the Official Secrets Act in connection with the leakage of sensitive documents from the Navy War Room in Delhi.

Eight others accused in the case are IAF Wing Commander S K Kohli, sacked Navy Captain Kashyap Kumar, ex-Indian Air Force Commander S L Surve, sacked Naval Commanders V K Jha, Vijender Rana, Kulbhushan Parashar, and conduit Raj Rani Jaiswal and Mukesh Bajaj.
