Intel Chief to be visit India on May 23, 24

Bangalore, May 12 (UNI) Intel President and CEO Paul Otellini will be in India on May 23 and 24 to meet key industry leaders, customers and CEOs.

Mr Otellini, who would first visit Bangalore on May 23, would deliver the keynote address at the Intel Capital CEO Summit in Mumbai the next day.

The Summit would be attended by chief executives from Intel Capital's portfolio companies worldwide together with executives from Intel and Global 2000 corporations along with government and education leaders for three days of learning and deal-making focused on tapping into the opportunities offered today in India, Intel said today.

During Intel's ten years operations in India, the company had worked closely with the government, industry and educators to enable transformation of businesses and communities through the adoption of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Intel announced a US Dollar one billion, multi-year investment roadmap which included an investment of US Dollars 800 million over the next five years and a US Dollar 250 million Intel Capital India technology Fund to help stimulate technology innovation and growth.

The investments would focus on expanding the Research and Development Centre in Bangalore in addition to marketing, education and community programmes.
