CM goes to complainant's house

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, May 12 (UNI)In a rare gesture, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today went to the house of a poor lady who complained she was denied a pucca house while undeserving people were sanctioned houses, to know facts of the case.

During an interaction with the people in the West Godavari district, the lady complained that several ineligible persons were being sanctioned houses while she was denied one.

Dr Reddy who assured to look into her case, went to her house to get first hand information on the 'undeserving' persons. He also assured her of a house.

The Chief Minister toured the West Godavari District and had extensive interaction with the people to understand their problems.

Some senior leaders of the Kolleru region led by Congress MP K S Rao met the Chief Minister and submitted a memorandum urging him not to confiscate patta lands falling under the Kolleru Lake at least for some time.

The government has been removing all structures from the fresh water lake following a direction from the Supreme Court.

In response, the Chief Minister directed District Collector Luv Agarwal to stop the operations till May 26.
