Chandy reigns, says development agenda would continue
Thiruvananthapuram, May 12 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today submitted his resignation to State Governor R L Bhatia following the defeat of the Congress-led United Democratic Front(UDF) in the assembly elections.
After submitting his resignation, he told reporters that the development agenda, including the Smart City project, of the UDF government would continue and no successive governments could alter it.
The development initiatives of the UDF government had been endorsed by the people, he asserted, adding the Left Democratic Front, in such a situation, would not be able to deviate from the ''development agenda'' of the UDF. ''The UDF's development agenda has now become the people's agenda. There is no way that the next LDF government can back track from this agenda.'' More UNI PN VV VD BD1445
