Agra-Bombay NH named after Vajpayee

Indore, May 12: Nearly 25 Km portion of Agra-Bombay national highway passing through Indore district will be known as ''Atal Bihari Vajpayee Marg''.

A decision to this effect was taken by the District Planning Committee, chaired by minister Himmat Kothari, here yesterday. The DPC recommendation would be sent to the state government for approval.

Besides naming A-B Road after former Prime Minister, the DPC also recommended naming a bye-pass road in the city after former BJP chief late Mr Kushabhau Thakre and the ''Bengali Chouraha'' after late Congress leader Madhav Rao Scindia.
