We are going to win the series: Rahul Dravid
Mumbai, May 11 (UNI) Team India captain Rahul Dravid today exuded confidence of winning the series in West Indies for which the team is leaving at midnight.
''West Indies always play well on the home turf and only Australia could defeat them there'' Dravid told reporters.
''I can't single out any particular reason for India not winning any series in West incides in last 35 years. The conditions there are quite tricky,'' observed Dravid, who had earlier twice toured West Indies.
He said the Indian team had opportunities to win the series in 1997 and 2002 also. He also remembered dropping West Indies captain Brian Lara when he was keeping the wickets.
''Misssing the stumping of Lara was a great memory but on the next ball he was out,'' Dravid said with a smiling face.
When asked about focussing on the World cup, Dravid admitted that there is a huge buzz of world cup. ''But we are not focussing too far. However, our experience of present tour will help us in next year's world cup going to be played in West Indies.'' More UNI JM MJ DH RS2028
