Two stabbed to death for protesting misbehaviour in marriage

New Delhi, May 11 (UNI) Two persons were stabbed to dead in Dabri area of West Delhi last night following a heated argument after they prevented some 'uninvited guests' from joining a marriage procession.

However, police have arrested six persons, between 18-21 years of age, allegedly involved in the case, said sources.

Sandeep Gupta, who runs a tent business, and his friend Viresh were stabbed several times with a spike, used to cut ice, in Dabri area by unknown assailants at about 1230 hrs who had intruded in a marriage procession, said a police official.

When others in the procession questioned their identity they could not give any satisfactory answer. Later others also objected to their 'misbehaviour' which led to a heated argument with Sandeep and Viresh.

Feeling humiliated the four accused called two of their other 'friends' and stabbed the two, after pulling them out of the marriage procession.

One more person, hurt in the fight, was admitted to the hospital.

Those arrested -- Imran, Pawan, Ali, Kishore, Arun and Pravin -- later told the police that they joined the procession just to have fun.
