Palode Ravi second time unlucky
Thiruvananthapuram, May 11 (UNI) For Congress candidate Palode Ravi, it was the second time in a row that he lost the elections by a narrow margin to the same rival at the Nedumangad Assembly seat.
He was defeated by a margin of 85 votes, the lowest in this election, by CPI's Mankode Radhakrishnan.
In the previous election in 2001, Mr Radhakrishnan's victory margin over Mr Ravi was 156 votes.
In Alathur constituency, M Chandran of the CPI(M) recorded a margin of 47,671 votes, the highest by a candidate in this election, over his United Democratic Front-supported independent A Raghavan.
