Pondicherry, May 11 (UNI) The elections have proved that people of this union territory cannot be lured by glamour of the cinema.

Actor Anandaraj who contested from the Orleanpet constituency in the union territory with a lot of ambition. However, the electorate rejected him outright.

Pitted against sitting DMK Member R Siva and AIADMK Rebel Candidate Nehru who contested as an independent, Mr Anandaraj could muster only a meagre 710 votes and lost his deposit.
