I underestimated people's faith: Bhattacharjee

Kolkata, May 11 (UNI) A visibly overjoyed Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today said he had underestimated people's faith in the Front.

Talking to the reporters here this evening, he said, ''I had underestimated people's faith in us. I was expecting some 200 seats, but 235 is a very pleasant surprise.'' ''We are a party that live by some morality and the victory is the reflection of our philosophy that people believe,'' he said.

Talking abouut th opposition, Mr Bhattacharjee said, ''Their seats have reduced. we have no hand in it. But there is always a role for a good opposition if they criticise constructively and bring out our faults.'' Asked about the party's relation with the Centre, he said, ''We don't invite confrontation.
