Gulbarga records highest maximum temp of 43 degree celsius

Bangalore, May 11 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours here today. Rainfall occurred at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevalled over Coastal Karnataka. Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Gadag 3, Malavalli, Malur, Nelamanagala, Yelahanka, Bangalore City, Bangalore AP, Chikmagalur 2 each. Hubli, Kunigal, Hoskote, Bandipura 1 each.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at many places over Coastal Karnataka and a few places over North Interior Karnataka and were normal over South Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 43 degree celsius over the state.

Forecast valid until Saturday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over Interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather may prevail over Coastal Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of South Interior Karnataka and over Koppal, Raichur, Haveri and Bagalkota districts of North Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevail over all district of Coastal Karnataka and remaining districts of North Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening or night. Maximum temperature would be around 34 degree celsius.
